new atheism, Peter Hitchens
He appears to be right. It seems that the atheist community is mustering every last effort they have to try and persuade beleivers that they are right – there is no GOD. But I would have to argue that as a beleiver in science there is no valid arguement against the existence of God and there never will be. God is everywhere you just have to look- from the person you are sitting next to to the bacteria viewed under a microscope. And an atheist can say that we were created by the Big bang and this is their weakest arguement of all – what was before the big bang – nothing – nothing comes from nothing and something comes from something. The world is perfect aside from our stupid mistakes and ignorances that get us into trouble and pollute our minds from time to time. Lakeland County should be allowed to say a prayer before congregating, those that don’t want to can just bow their heads in silience. We are catering to much to a group who are just angry, arrogant and think they have more intellectual capacity than those that beleive. When in fact they are close minded and being close minded certainly doesn’t excercise the brain.
It’s not that science disproves God, it’s that there are no good scientific reasons to believe in God. Would a society of Godless heathens really turn into another soviet union? Peter clearly thinks so, but I don’t think he’s right.
