Rapture News
Just got an email from my mom asking about my thoughts on today’s rapture news. Below is my response.
Dear Mom,
The man who made today’s prediction, Harold Camping, is a false prophet. He predicted the same thing would happen back in 1994, and it did not. Hard to believe anyone has actually been paying attention to him this go around.
Personally, I do not believe the rapture is a biblical doctrine, but a misunderstanding of 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17. For more information on this, you might be interested in this article:

The fact that the world remains today as it has for millennia is no threat to the Christian faith. The events of today — or should we say non-events — do, though, help to reveal the faultiness of theologies built around “the rapture.”
Today was another day of failure for escapist theologies. Time to get back to the work of occupying until He comes.

You’ve made an excellent start in recognizing false theologies among Christians. Keep up the good work and soon you’ll realize that it’s all false. There’s a reason that there are about 20,000 variations of Christianity and the answer is not that 19,999 are wrong and 1 is right.
If people believe the Bible we would not have these false predictions.
Ever since the progresives gained power in this country we have gradually had a group that have taken over our educational system teaching government takeover of our lives. In the interest of safety we have given up freedom and soon we will have neither.
Buddy you are right!!! Rapture IS a false teaching. Revelations states that No flesh can enter the kingdom of heaven so, with that being said, where would the body go in this “rapture”? Number two, Christ will return on the 7th trump. Before that, the Anti-christ will return on the 6th trump. It is NOT that hard to figure out. God Bless you and great Job on that!
